Educational Enrichment Day: Incorporating All Grades Classically

Students will bring their corresponding workbooks/notebooks and their art/writing supply bag for each co-op day; along with a snack, lunchbox, & water bottle...


***Parents are required to stay on campus with their students and children for the entire co-op day for liability purposes. Parents are also asked to help with leading academic groups to better the entire co-op community; along with helping clean up the building before leaving at the end of each co-op day that is in session.


***Parents are required to purchase the specific curriculums needed for co-op, along with all art and writing supplies, to bring for their students to have each co-op day. 




1. Morning Prayer & Bible Devotional: Whole Group Reading Time


2. Breaking into Small Group Time:


Pre-k- Kindergarten meets in their own area


Phonics & Reading Group Time-(Abeka My Blend and Word Book)

Math Facts- Counting, Skip Counting, Fractions, Telling Time Flash Cards

Penmanship Letters/Numbers- Learning Manuscript Letters by Thomas Wasylyk

Art Time- Coloring Page or Playdough

...Periodically, fine art projects and science experiments will be completed. (as led by parents)


1. Spelling/Copywork/Writing: 


First -Third Grades

The Teacher will work with children independently using their workbooks in the small, group setting


Traditional Spelling Spiral Bound Book: (Memoria Press Levels 1-3)

A Child's Copybook Reader (Simply Charlotte Mason Levels 1-3)


A lesson from each book will be completed during this time


4th-High School Grades

McGuffey's Eclectic Spelling Book- Copying a Word List

Copywork Hymns (Queen's Homeschool) & /or Free (Assigned) Writing with a Topic



2. Mathematics & 


Science/History


---Periodically, at the end of these subjects, group fine art projects or science experiment activities will be completed. (as led by parents)


Grades 1-8:

High School Math Enrichment: Checkbook Math


Grades 1 -2: Sassafras Science Read Aloud Adventures (Queen's Homeschool)


Grades 3- High School: 

Thinking Free School Journals (The Thinking Tree):


Time Travel History Inventions and Inventors and/or sketching in notebook


 

Lunch/ Outdoor Play/Outdoor Fellowship




End of Co-OP (Co-OP should last around 3 hours total)

All First through High School Students need at least three spiral bound notebooks for spelling words & language arts/copywork, math copy work, and science/history note-booking activities. Please label your notebooks with this order. Additionally, a pencil bag with pencils, colored pencils, and crayons or pastels is needed.  These supplies are to be brought to co-op each day, preferably in a backpack.
